why I created Ape Mode
Before I coached pros and helped athletes around the world…I was the guy training for the wrong purpose and learning everything the hard way.
I’m Antonios Assaad, founder of Ape Mode Fitness, ex-pro footballer, current athletic trainer, and someone who figured out through years of trial how to actually train and stay fit for this game and lead a healthy lifestyle.
Growing up, I was obsessed with two things: football and lifting weights. Problem was, I trained like a bodybuilder. Just tried to put on as much muscle as possible. I looked the part, but I felt slow, tight and heavy-footed. Groin and adductor injuries followed me around and always at the worst moments.
I trained hard. I was disciplined. I thought that was enough.
But that mindset cost me years I’ll never get back.
It wasn’t until I worked with a my first strength & conditioning coach that things finally started to work.
It changed my game, and honestly, changed my life.
That’s why Ape Mode was created…

We’ve worked with a lot of return-to-play athletes. If something flares up, we’ll adjust the plan around it so you can stay in the game and recover properly.

Using performance data, team schedules, and workload management, we ensure your training can get you to your goals the fastest and safest way possible.
Do I Need Specific Equipment for the Workouts?
For most programs, a basic gym setup (barbell, dumbbells, bands) is enough. If you’re limited to home or field, we can adapt everything to what you’ve got.

We utilize the TrueCoach app, which allows you to access your entire program, log workouts, communicate directly with your coach, view exercise demonstrations, and explore alternative exercises.
